FRU GAMES COMMITTEE SHOULD ALLOW WAISALE SEREVI. I THINK THEY FORGET THAT THE IRB SEVEN CHAMPIONSHIP WAS IN FIJI SEVENS HAND WITH SEREVI. THEY SHOULD ABOUT THAT.

its enough corruption at the fru,,,the main cullprit should be thrown out,,because he is the downfall of fiji rugby,,and because of him great coaches had to go out,,like serevi,,wayne,,,smith etc,,,,,serevi is the greatest sevens player ever,,,its him who has got people like ryder and naevo,,nabuliwaqa etc,,,,he has developed them into great players,,,not anyone else,,,,,savou is being arrogant and its clear tavanavanua clan do not like serevi's nature(which is honesty discpline) so they want to keep people like him clear,,,so they can take the chunk of income themselves,,,,,they even wanted to remove tabua,,,and just gave him some bone with no meat to munch on for only 2yrs,,,

its obvious fiji team and rugby woudnt do good with tavanavanua as head,,,i think they should remove him and put serevi as the head of fiji rugby.

 I am a busssiness owner in usa, only reason I got my interast in rugby was because of serevi and his effort to bring Fiji's team to the level it was when he was playing. I have not missed any 7's game played in usa till know. Fiji need Serevi to win. FRU committee need to put their personal adgenda aside and add Serevi for Honk kong 7's games. People will stop supporting our Fiji team if the FRU keeps on with personal issues.

We pay lots of money to go and suport our Fiji team but it is so sad to see that we go down because some people out in fiji thinks our team can win without our best player. Serevi needs to be their to inspire players and the Fiji suports to get our team to that wining level.

I  hope the F.R.U could give a chance for serevi to player for last time in Hong Kong where he put his mark in Rugby career...before he hang his boots..he deserve it..he prove himself like other player and be fair put different aside build better Fiji.He done so much and please F.R.U think about decision again and consider how serevi feel about they decision.....

We lost our heroe,we will never won any tournerment without SEREVI.All the RUGBY UNION IN FIJI,please do some thing and sack the CEO and his staff,to much VEREVAKABAU in side the FRU house.I would like to see some change to be done for this FRU official,CEO your make rugby in fiji as a politics.I think you havent played any rugby in your school days,that why you are not worried about our lost in four seven tournerment.Pack and go,  all the rugby lover in fiji will be happy if you vacate your office.

Digicel gave $85,000 for the 7s team. Why did the FRU use it for 15s rugby. That sponsor was from the man himself Waisale Serevi who said to give the money to the FRU. But the FRU spent it on the 15s rugby team. Please explain FRU!

I think the main culprit is King Tavanavanua. He will put Fiji down the whole of this year. I tell you Tavanavanua that Fiji will never win any 7s series under your leadership in FRU.

Want to win Hong Kong, include King Serevi in the team. He will make THE difference.

I guess we need Frank (PM) & his comrads help in cleaning up the Fiji Rugby house which is full of corruption. Kick out Keni, and all the board memebers, ALONG WITH THE CEO, and take "tem to the barrecks for some exercise". They will take Fiji rugby down.

The FRU should be sacked and changed. They have being long there. Let them please bring in a new set of Christian people to the board, who can think positive.

Come out clean and let the nation know why you dropped SEREVI. You better watch out if the FIJI SEVENS TEAM loses again in HONGKONG. If we lose again in Hong Kong, you will face a consequance, you should be blamed for all the mess happening in RUGBY IN OUR BELOVED NATION, SO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

Don't the people of Fiji have any say for our sevens team?

It seems that the CEO and FRU gang are really idiots and stupid after they failed again to realize the absence of the maestro.

Too much politics in FRU Now it's really time for the citizens of Fiji to do something.

Believe, we need to find out what really happened that makes the FRU so hellbent on denying Serevi his last hurrah in So Kong Po. At least, they could have given him that after all he had contributed to Fiji rugby.

Secondly, we need to accept the fact that the days of Fiji 7s rugby without Serevi is upon us.

For goodness sake guys, lets give this Serevei issue a rest. We can't be forever reliant on Serevi . Fiji's obsession with Serevi is becoming pathetic to say the least. 

FRU's decision must be respected. Serevi knows why he has been dropped and you would be embarrased to learn the real reasons about this hero, we call Serevi. Its not all about rugby, folks.

Let him go to Taiwan and earn some money. Take a leaf from the stars of NZ and Australian rugby, etc who have made their name and moved on, allowing someone else to grow through the process of taking on the responsibilites of handling their national teams.

I feel sorry for Jo Savou. He has not been allowed to earn his own colours in building a team. With the way the public of Fiji react, I take my hat off to him, in remaining un-phased with all this "Serevi hoopla", we hear about.  Sure, we have lost some crucial games...but that is simply the path of life one has to go through before they can achieve the ultimate target (whatever that is). So lets give Jo Savou the time he needs to develop his team. 

As far as FRU is concerned - this is the first time in FRU Administration history that it has been run like a proper company, instead of the Vakavanua attitude of yester-years. Keep up the good work, Mr CEO. You and your team as well as the Board are doing a great job in bringing some semblance of proper organisation of the Union and the game in a long time.  

No player is bigger than the game or the Union. You only have to look at the other top nations to see why.

Surely, we all feel sorry for Savou for not being allowed to choose his own players because of a system that has been put in place by the administration.

Bula - I write with great admiration of Waisale Serevi for what he has done for the game of Sevens. The electricty he generates when he is on the field - the comments of commentators from around the world, "master of sevens", the king of Sevens", "the wizard" and the many more accolades he receives off the field.

I have over the years observed on my TV the number of our Indian brothers and even sisters that have become very avid followers, Die hard fans of the game. WHY!! because of Serevi!!

You just have to have to read this thread (guess what this is the "Most View Thread" on this site) to see the number of indo-fijians that have commented from around the world on why Serevi has to be "IN" the "Game". What does that tell us of this pint size guy? He is the "Man of the People". A person, people from different background look up to and TRUST.

I was travelling on a regional flight here in Australia when my seat mate asked where I came from, which I proudly said, "FIJI". He then replied, "oh yeah Sevens Champs hey - Serevi". When you say Serevi immediately people know Fiji. and vice versa. The name Serevi is known around the world - except in FRU camp.

The Dubai sevens loss sends a clear message to the sevens governing body that Serevi needs to step down and someone with a fresh prospectus and different approach to bring Fiji back on the winning track again. Just being 110% in physical form nowdays will not win you the game.

Time to change now or Fiji will lose its world class sevens touch.

WHY?

FRU definately has a reason for putting there foot down on you.

It really saddens me reading all the response people have been putting up.The ripple effect it has caused is affecting everybody.It all goes back to a decission one person did?

Serevi being were he is was today was not an individual effort.FRU identified the talent he had and choose him to represent the country.Other players should also be credited to as well for being a team player and helping Serevi to be identified by the world and given the title he has today.

What have we got to say to the team in Dubai now.They are performing to the best of there abilities.Where does that leave all of you who have been bad mouthing FRU on the choices they made?

Win or loose we should just have the spirit of good sportsmanship.And a good sportsman will do what a good sportsman does and that i will not say because you and i have the answer.
